Romana and Federica
Romana Revel trained at the Milan Accademia delle Arti Applicate, graduating in 1987 with a Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture of Interiors and Connoiseurship of Antique and Modern Design.
Romana's professional activity as an interior designer has spanned nearly twenty years, initially working in architecture studios and premiere showrooms in Italy.
Since 1989, she has been active as a free-lance designer, working in Italy, New York, Singapore, London and Switzerland. She established Romana Revel Ltd, her London based design business, in early 2005.
Federica Fin was born in Italy in a textile industy family.
She graduated at the Universita' degli Studi of Milan with a degree in Arts and Humanities.
Recently, she completed a Certificate Course in Late Medieval and Early Renaissance Art at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Federica has travelled extensively, living in Paris, Istanbul and London.
She is passionate about textiles, art and design.
Federica and Romana met in London and they soon discovered they shared the same passion for interiors, good design and quality craftmanship.
At the beginning of 2006 they created Fin&Revel and opened a shop in Notting Hill.
Their work is led by the simple idea of combining colours and lighting, modern pieces with antiques. They source themselves in the long tradition of ateliers in Italy, but not exclusively.
Their shop offers a selection of textiles, complements and lightings.
For them, the house is a place that makes you feel you don't want to be anywhere else.
It is a part of yourself and like you is unique and can't be replicated.
